Number 44, AKA Silver Cavier!

Hello Teacher and Students, My name is Dianne and my husband John and I are travelling around Australia by caravan for 12 months. We left home in Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland on 6th April and have thoroughly enjoyed your beautiful State of Western Australia. We have never been to WA before. It is so completely different to our State. We actually free camped just west of Ravensthorpe on 31st October and I took photos of your lovely rose garden in town. From there we travelled to Esperance and then on to Kalgoorlie. On the way we stopped to take photos of the galvanised iron camels on the roundabout in Norseman. There I found your wire horse No. 44 sitting on the rump of a camel as you will see in the photo. I was very excited and felt it was nearly like finding a letter in a bottle. Well almost! I named her "Silver Caviar". I knew she had to be placed somewhere special and so she came for quite a ride with us. Into Coolgardie for the Melbourne Cup and then onto Kalgoorlie. From here we free camped across the Nullarbor then into Fowler's Bay, Streaky Bay, Venus Bay, Coffin Bay and finally Port Lincoln where we are now. As you can see in the photos I placed her under the statue of Makybe Diva. While we were there a man came along with his pet Kangaroo named Skippy. So Skippy hopped up and also had her photo taken with these two "famous horses". Later I saw a man and lady pick up Silver Caviar and take her, so I hope she has more adventures which they will then relate back to you. Thank you for the chance to participate in your school project. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I would love to hear of her travels in the future if you would care to let me know. Thanking you, Kind regards Dianne

Number 30 finds love???!!!

A languished traveller.
Lingering at the Azure CafĂ© overlooking the picturesque foreshore of Denham.
Beckons me to an otherwise vacant table.
I couldn't resist his charm. A coffee companion and more?
Number 30...Flirty 30? Dirty 30!!
Smuggled home I found a place for him to unwind.
Admiring him bask in the rays of winter sunshine. Regenerating.
Treasured.
Can I bestow him to a stranger?
Last seen hanging with the birds.......Destiny unknown

Hello

I found this artwork under today’s west Australian on our staff lunch table. I am the CEO of Country Arts WA and on the rare occasion that I sit down at the lunch table I was delighted to find this artwork. Made me smile. Hello,  My name is Kerrie and I found your artwork in Ceduna SA in April 2013 at the Big 4 Caravan Park. My partner & I have a caravan & boat & have been travelling Australia for 6 years. We’ve seen lots of amazing places & Australia’s enormous, we don’t think we’ll ever see our whole country! On leaving Ceduna after fishing for 9 weeks, we travelled to Melbourne, Ballarat, Sydney, Alstonville, Gold Coast, Jondaryan Wool Shed, Roma, Mitchell, Morven, Blackall, Barcaldine & on to Longreach in Outback Queensland. The scenery, landscapes, weather & birds are forever changing & there’s always something to look at. Travelling on to Winton, Mckinlay-Walkabout Creek Hotel, Cloncurry, Burke & Wills Roadhouse, Normanton-The Purple Pub, & Karumba in the Gulf of Carpentaria where we are now fishing for a few weeks. Your Artwork has travelled all this way with us & is now resting in the office of the Gulf Country Caravan Park. Keep enjoying your art & I’ve enjoyed being a part of Artwork Number 59. Regards to you All, Kerrie.

When I came to school this morning to get the Art room ready for lessons tomorrow, I found a little wire snake in my pigeon hole!  Not sure where he’s been hiding, or who put him there…maybe they were just giving him back!

Anyway...

I’m off to Perth to a meeting at Country Arts WA next week….so I think I will take little Number 30 with me and see if I can place him somewhere without being caught!

Number 36!

Hi, my name is Sally and I found the artwork 36 at a picture framing shop in Coffs Harbour. The shop is also an art gallery, and the piece was on a little shelf as though it was an exhibition. When I picked it up the shop owner asked me to take it away with me.

I will be sure to leave it somewhere unusual and unexpected!

Artwork Number 22

Hi!
I found this artwork hanging in a tree in a park in McCrae when I was walking my dog. McCrae is on the Mornington Peninsula about an hour's drive from Melbourne.
Tonight I'm flying to NZ so I'm going to take the art with me and leave it somewhere in the South Island. I hope it will be found by someone who appreciates your project as much as I do.
Sincerely,
Melinda

Greetings for the Mid North Coast of wet and humid NSW.

Your unusual piece of artwork was discovered in my small supermarket, Urunga Foodworks.

Urunga is a small seaside village approximately 30kms from Coffs Harbour.

Approximately 2000 people (mainly retirees) live in Urunga.

Urunga's caravan and camping ground on the Bellinger/Kalang rivers is a popular destination for tourist, and I presume your artwork was placed in the shop by someone travelling through.

It will be interesting to see where it ends up next.

Sincerely yours,

Jeanene.
